I did a similar swap but swapped a tbi motor with 518/241 into an 83 rc , all I really had to do was get a fuel pump eccentric, manifold, and carb. I went with a 650 edelbrock, with an air gap intake. You can check for a vacuum leak by getting a can of carb cleaner and spraying down the intake area and listen for an rpm change.
