Last night, after I had finished up some work I was doing on the car I reattached the throttle cable and the transmission kickdown cable and took the car out for a ride.Iteally, the cable should intersect the bellcrank about half way up from the lowest to highest location of the hole. In other words, the hole in the bell-crank will be highest in 1st and lowest in about neutral. Cable should be somewhere in between the two. When I'm unsure, I start at the center and work in a widening circle to the outside. It wouldn't hurt to make two full passes to achieve your final torque. IF your converter clutch is bouncing in & out of lock up under light throttle application..... I would suspect a bad vacuum meter valve. There is a vacuum switch that will cancel lock up when vacuum drops far enough..And If the trans dont unlock by itself, im probely going to rewire according to the diagram you was kind anough to provide.
